It sounds like spotting which is very normal during pregnancy. I had it too and my daughter wasn't harmed at all. It's very normal to be worried and concerned during pregnancy as well. This is your first pregnancy, so all of this stuff is new to you. I remember freaking out because my doctor couldn't find a heartbeat early on. Finally, he calmed me by telling me that the baby was so small and moving around so much that it was hard to find the heartbeat, but that was normal too. They found it after trying for a few minutes.
All of these things are normal and nothing to get too upset about. If you're having issues and you feel like you need to, talk to your doctor. He or she will be able to lay your fears to rest and tell you what you need to be concerned about.
Good luck to you.

I would say its pretty normal. However to set your mind at rest, why dont you contact the hospital where you have chosen to give birth (or ANY maternity hospital if you havent chosen one yet)? All hospitals have doctors/staff available to answer pregnant womens concerns...so keep in touch with them, whenever you feel something is making you worry.
Often we get a show during the first due period because the egg only clung to the womb halfway through the period time, so a bit of the lining will come away. Sometimes, if we have sex or prod inside the vagina...it can make a little capilllary be scratched and that can show a little blood. That doesnt mean you shouldnt do either...its just a possible explanation.
I would suggest you get on to a Baby Centre site so that you can talk to other moms (and read articles)...those at the same stage you are at and otherwise...eg;

A bloody discharge during pregnancy is not unusual but it is not normal either. You need to see a doctor. Good prenatal care is essential to having a healthy baby. Having to come in here and ask a question like this tells me that you are probably too young to be having a baby. It is my guess that you are a teenager and that you do not have the support of your parents to help you with this very scary thing. If this is the case, I strongly suggest that you discuss this pregnancy with your parents, no matter how upset or angry they might be about it, they will still love you and will want to help you with this life changing event. I hope I am wrong and you are twenty something and just a bit confused about where to go for answers. If that is the case I reiterate, you need to see a doctor!

First of all, do not stress yourself out. Stress can do more harm than good. Always keep your doctor informed of any questions or issues. And yes, some "light" bleeding can be normal. Try to pick up a copy of the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting". It is good "basic" info. You may be able to find it at your local library. Calm yourself with music. It is good for you & the baby. I used to put the headphones on my tummy and play calming music for my son. Go ahead and start reading stories to the baby.
Try to find some good hot teas that you like. There are serveral that are made specifically for pregnancy.
In general, try to stay away from anything that may stress you out. Keep a journal of your feelings. Try to find a way to put a positive spin on any negativity. ~*Be Happy*~

Its normal to experience sone mild pain during the first weeks of pregnancy as your body is adjusting to the baby. You will also have discharge like the one you have, the pink one, because your womb is getting ready for the baby. some says its hormonal chages. if you are still worried, I suggest you consult a OB-Gynecologist, she will know the right thing to do and will also give you vitamins for you and the baby. dont worry too much. Relax and enjoy the experience.

Some people spot when pregnant. In rare instances, some people never stop having periods. To calm your nerves, inform your doctor but I am certain he will say every thing's fine. To really calm your nerves, stop by the library and pick up some books on pregnancy. If you know what to expect, you won't get so anxious when something comes up. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I've just had a baby last week and at the start of my pregnancy i had been bleeding twice. If you have relationships the first few weeks its normal to bleed a little but you have to go get checked anyway to check the babies hearts still beating. There's also the possibility of haveing a natural abortion but there's nothing you can do about it. If you do start bleeding go to the hospital straight away to get it looked at.

This is completely normal....some women have spotting throughout their entire pregnancy. You're best defense during pregnancy is to stay calm. Stress is bad for you and the baby. If you can't stop worrying about it, go to your doctor so he or she can do tests and let you know that everything is okay.

Please don't worry unless your blood flow gets heavier. At this point, you will feel some pain and see some pink due to the baby attaching itself to your uterus, it's normal and will pass. As I said, if you see anything more than just a bit of pink, go to the doctor right away
