I, personally, can't stand the uppity part of hte sport. I can't stand the whole idea of skyboxes with catering and people being all fancy. I mean, fine for the big sponsers and stuff, but it better not even think about taking over the nacho cheese drenched fries, beer can, bleacher type of environment..

I have been a Nascar fan for 35 years and I still like it as much or more than any other sport. The drivers are pretty accessible to the fans for autographs and such, and you don't hear all of the bickering over contracts and money. It is very much a team sport from the driver to the crew chief and the entire pit crew. I think that Nascar by far has the the most dedicated fans.
But, like any other sport TV is ruining it through all of their money and dictating the way they want the sport run. I do believe the sport will survive but it will not ever be like it was in the past.
Just my 2 cents. Go #8

Instead of tailgate parties outside the arenas with fans cooking out and drinking beer there will only be cars like Lexus , BMW , and limos with a few people sipping champagne, that sucks !

I was at MIS too and it was still blue collar. IMO it can still appeal to any budget. You can spend as much or as little as you like.
However, I don't think we need two races in Cali if they aren't selling the track out.
