I also have sensitive skin and can burn really easily. Obviously the best cure is prevention. Even when I'm not sunbathing, I slater on the factor 25, which works a treat.
Peeling skin is damaged skin so you won't be able to stop it unfortunately but you can speed the process up. I use a very gentle body exfoliator (even a flannel works well for this) and gentle scrub the affected area. I then slather on the moisturiser. After Sun is great as it calms the skin down but the most important thing is to make sure your moisturiser has Vitamin E in it. Use it twice a day - morning and night - and your skin will be back to normal soon.

I don't think you can stop it hun. It's where the dead skin is being removed. I would suggest you wear a sun block when going out in the sun. This will protect against the suns damaging rays and will also moisturise your skin at the same time. There are varying block factors from 5 or 8 through to 50. Aloe vera gel does work well as a good after sun treatment, especially when you've overdone it a bit. Good luck and safe tanning!

There are people with natural dry skin , I guess you are white , very white . First you should drink a loooooooooooooooooot of liquids,if you dont that my be one of the reasons ( do not count alcohol beverages they will dry you up ) , if you take several showers a day do not use soap every time you bathe because you may feel clean but the soap will dry your skin .
Use creams , alot of them but do not use cheap ones , remenber is your skin the barrier between you an the sun , so forget about about sun bathing frequently
Remember that if you make the changes in your habits, you will see improvments in the near future ( not tomorrow )

hah, good luck honey. If you are peeling from the sun, it won't stop, esp. if you have dry skin. The best you can do is use a moisturizing body wash in the shower (try olay body butter ribbons) and lotion 2x a day. Also, if the peeling is fromt he sun, use plain aloe (like for sunburn), but make sure it doesn't have lanacaine or alcohol in it bc this can dry your skin out more. Be patient, it can take a couple weeks to clear up.
PS- Stop going in the sun until it goes away!!!! And if you have to, use sunscreen, 45 or higher.

try exfoliating with a none abrasive,( this means the exfoliater should not have hard grit in) if you can get one you wash with, after you have had shower or bath try moisturising with a non perfumred/dehydrated skin type moisturiser. sorry, make sure the bath shower is at warm temp. never stick to the same products, as your skin always gets used to them

Baby oil and petroleum jelly. Also, scrub with a loofah when you are peeling just so the dead skin comes off in the shower instead of flaking all day.

when you are in the shower rub baby oil over you and let it soak in the rinse off... repeat at least twice daily and burn should be gone within 2 or 3 days
that is if you still have a burn there
