Take her to the Dr. It sounds like cellulitist is setting in. She will need antibiotics and steriods, they may want to keep her if it is very bad. Good luck! Let us know.

It could be that whatever she was stung by left it's stinger behind and it may be getting infected. Another thing is she could be having an allergic reaction. With my daughter....it seems like every time she was bit by a moisquito (sp?) we were at the doc for a shot of benedryl. Considering she grew up in
south florida it was all the time. She is 20 now and still not out grown it.
Either way,she probably should be seen by a dr. Best case scenario, they will tell you to put topical benedryl on it and watch for 10 days or so.
Good luck and God Bless,
Denise

I'm not sure if her reaction is related to the sting a week ago, but to swell up and get feverish is a sign of an allergic reaction. It could be related, stranger things have happened, but you should get her seen by a doctor immediately. Fevers are an indication of an infection.
Best of luck!

try baking soda with just a tad of water to make a paste. cover bite with paste and apply bandaid. It will draw the infection out.

Take her to the doctor! The stinger could still be in there and it could be infected...That could be really bad because she is so young. Get her to the doc asap! Good luck!
