Ooh "kiss my face".
Alan partridge is one of the funniest I've seen, but its a tough choice because Father Ted is one of my favourites too.Although I will have to go for Monty Python as I think it still influences most comedy programmes today

Seinfeld. Changed comedy TV forever. M*A*S*H is a good number 2. Watch out for South Park and Family Guy ( best writing on TV.)

Does this include sitcoms? I guess Alan Partridge was kind of a sitcom especially in the 2nd series, I'll go for Black Books series one :-D
