Oh yeah...it's my favorite feeling...really. It happened to me when I first began smoking pot. I'm not accusing you of doing that, that's just when I discovered the beauty of the sensation. It was never easier to fall asleep then when you feel like you couldn't move if you wanted to. Best wishes

Could be a chemical release in the brain, Might be REM/Dreams, You could have sleep apnea and be suffocating....I mean it could be any number of things.
If it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it. If you are worried about it you could go to a sleep clinic and have them check you out.
I do that whole falling/death throws jolting thing. Where the brains signals loose communication, your brain thinks you're dying so it sends a jolt of energy through the body to wake you up. It's just lovely.

Umm, are you eating before sleep ? I have heard that things like chocolate or anyhting that's hard on the liver may cause weird sensations
But that's just a rumor...

i hv experienced it a lotta times..... n surely.... its pleasant.... its ntuhin but.... u r tired of working the entire day.... strain of work causes that pain kinda stuff..... nuthin to worry
