I have rode horses all of my life, I have owned horses over half of my life. I love horses and I love to ride them - I really don't know why I am so drawn to them. But I can tell you that riding bareback and letting your horse open up (run real fast) is the most exhilarating feeling in the world, all of that power nestled between your legs and you have complete control (or at least you should).

In the 'olden' days, mostly boys/men rode horses, but it has evolved into a 'girls and horses' kind of thing. Today though, alot of jockies are men, as are proffesional riders. The cool thing about riding is that men and women compete with each other. There's Karen and David O'Connor, Ian Miller, Isabelle Werth, George Morris, Beezie Madden, Chris Kappler, Rodrigo Pessoa, Meredith Miachels Roger and more. Nowadays, it's just a girly thing to do.

Horses, Because it is a lot of fun. Anyone can ride a horse.

Horses are pretty, and girls like pretty things. Especially when they can master a 1000 pound animal, they get a feeling of control over a live animal, that is hard to experience in any other way.

um all people who like to ride will ride not singled out just girls .. men like riding motorcycles hm... I like to ride as i feel tall and above the ground and cantering is fun fast and you can control the horse. I prefer bare back it is easier on the horse and true way of riding it. men and women like to ride.

Boys like to do it, too. Why is it a girl sport? If you have DirecTV, there is a show on the channel Dicovery Kids called Saddle Club, and it is proof that girls AND boys like to go horseback riding.

Personally I prefer to ride cars with alot horsepower than some
rinky dink horse.

Because horses are kind, caring creatures who like to please people. They are sensitve and beautiful, when you're upset and you need someone to talk to, it seems they listen. When you're crying they will nudge your shoulder to see what's the matter. PEOPLE, not just girls, ride horses for the same reason people drive fast cars, ride bikes, skateboard, rollerblade, ski, snowboard, dirt bike, ect. ; ) It's fun.
