Well... you COULD knock it down and step on it.. but that might get your stung... you COULD buy a BB-gun and shoot all of the wasps as they land on it... but tha might get you stung too... hmmm..

Get some insecticide in a container that will send a stream a long distance.. so you can stay a good distance from the nest.. and spray it!!! wait for the wasps to die.. and clean up the mess.

Wasp Nest In Shed

I once moved a small nest by putting large glass jar over it and very carefully knocked it off the ceiling so that it went into the jar. Then covered the top with a lid.
If the nest seems active and large then call in a professional. If you are in the UK and housed by the council then contact them.
You can use wasp spray or powder, but do it quickly as the build the nest very fast and with in a day or two it will be huge. Then you will have to call in pest control. Be careful they sting as I am sure you know!!

only do this when it is cold or early in the morning, buy ant powder the wasps wont go into their nest when you puff the powder at the entrance of the nest. You can then leave it for a few days the wasps inside will die, or if you can get a hose and blast the nest down.
But if it is just a small nest spray it with wasp killer then knock it down end of problem.
And i do this kind of thing as part of my job as maintenance manager at my place of work.
The pest killer company charge £77:00 for the same job what is the price of ant powder £2:00.>£3:00

I remember as a kid we had a wasp nest in the back yard and my father killed them by waiting until nighttime because they would be sleeping (and they would all be at the nest) and spraying the nest with wasp killer until it was all drenched. Somehow he sprayed inside, but I'm not sure how. Then he waited until the next day to see if all the wasps were killed then he would take the nest down when he knew they were all dead.

Yes, use the wasp/hornet spray. Wait a day or two after you spray the nest and check that there are no wasps around it. Then take a long pole and knock it down. You can bag it and put it in the garbage. I would not recommend doing that until after you have sprayed the nest.

You can buy wasp and hornet killer which shoots a stream of insecticide about 20 feet--be very careful and stand well away from the nest when you shoot this stuff at them. There may only be ONE now, but if the nest is expanding, there are more--and wasps can sting more than once.

Spray the wasp nest with bug spray. Wait until all wasps are dead or gone & then remove the nest.

Wait til in the evening and spray with wasp and hornet killer. They won't fly when it starts getting dark. drench the nest then knock it down. Make sure you knock it down or another wasp will use it later.
