You can't get an Ip address from anyone by only chatting or,offline messages...Also,,most people are running firewalls so getting an ip address isn't very easy gotten these days

I don't know if you can...
... but you can use a service like pointofmail.com to send them emails from -- it tells where they opened them at and the IP address, among other info.
I've used this tool when I have a hunch that someone is lying ...

now why would you want to do that? getting someone's ip address to track them down for no good reason is creepy. are you a creep?
