Well if you cannot get food then you should probably give them away. Gold fish can be kept in many containers such as glass or plastic bowls . Old jar, vase and so on. as long as you change the water out with water that has sat at room temperature.
If you have city water be sure the new water has been open to air, also save some of the old water to add ot the new.
If you really wanted the gold fish to last for along time you would need to get a proper tank and a lot of room. checkout sites on goldfish care and you will get the information you need for the care and feeding of your fish. They really are wonderful pets so if you are keeping them i hope you get a proper tank and food soon.

Poor things!
First of all, you should not have acquired these fish in the first place if you could not properly care for them. It has been six hours since you asked this question, and I just pray that they are not in a bag or small bowl with limited water movement.
If your parent(s) will not allow you to take good care of these fish, the proper thing to do is to find them a new home. If you know a friend who likes fish and would care for them, super! If not, try contacting the local fish store to see if they would be generous enough to take them off your hands. You may not get any money, but if you are lucky the fish will survive!

Try giving them to your local fish store. Even if you were to get a tank. The goldfish you got are most likely commons which need
100s of gallon, or better yet a pond. Fancy goldfish need 15 gallons each.
NEVER IMPULSE BUY. thats all i can do. otherwise euthunasia migh work. Decapitate and stab the brain, or submerse in clove oil

I was a pet crazy kid. I would put fish in old food jars, extra water pitchers, anything larger than about a quart. They say one gallon of water for each fish. You can do it on alot less if you are willing to keep the container clean. For food, white squishy bread rolled up into very tiny balls works reall well for gold fish. Dont feed them to much or you have to clean the container alot. Goldfish will eat until they die. They just cant help eating - sort of like my brother when I was younger.....

Give them away. Try to find someone with a pond where they can live and be healthy. If you can't find anyone with a pond then give them to a pet store that will tank them.
And if you knew your mom doesn't let you buy fish food or a tank then why did you take them? Just so you can torture them to death?

Bring them to a petstore. You can not keep them with out a tank. You may have a neighbor who has a koi pond but the probably won't want comet goldfish in it. You can always ask though.

Make a bet with your chums and swallow them whole for $4.00. That'll net you a $2.00 profit, plus a slight feeling of nausea as they flop around in your stomach and you consider that a whole goldfish contains guts and the stuff that moves through them.

Keep them. Fishes make good friends even though they swim around, but it's cool to have them.
