Would a real dummy know enough to buy one?

This dummy knows she needs them. ;o)

And I guess that's a good thing. In my family the rule was, you didn't read the assembly instructions for anything unless you tried to put it together and either it didn't work or you had so many pieces left over that even if it did work you feared it might not be safe....

I'm not proud. Give me instructions. Leave me directions. Draw me a picture if you have to!
