I quit smoking 13 years ago. Try to keep yourself busy so you don't think about it. I chewed alot of gum and ate carrot sticks, celery, etc. Eat stuff that doesn't have alot of calorie content to it. I found that if I kept myself busy I didn't constantly think about a cigarette. It gets easier after the first couple of weeks.

When you light up a stick, wrap it first with a $100 bill on it. That might help.
