I understand where you r coming from.......they can televise beheading of Americans and hold them prisoner and torture them, but when something happens to the boo hoo! From what I understand there are "rules of war". By some of these American soldiers raping and killing Iraqi's they have broken the "rules of war".

We should all go by the good old "Golden Rule"....Do unto others!

Torturing prisoners and holding them without charge
Suppoting despots that are "pro-American
Selling 80% of the arms to all the worlds hot-spot
Denying the relevence of the Geneva convention

I love America but and wish that it could be a beacon of Justice in the world leading by force and by example

This moral authority continues to erode. There is no credibility in the great messege.

At least in Vietnam, the French had given the people of Saigon a tradition and history of western style democratic thought and the United States bravely helped them defend it from the evil VC

Justice must be done--and be seen to be done

The guy who said you're like the New York Times may have a point. Or maybe you're acting more like the U.S. government; you know, picking up suspected terrorists and detaining them indefinitely with no rule of law applied. Good thing they're changing that. Justice and the American way wins again! Anyway, murder and rape is sick no matter who does it. What other thoughts would we have? As human beings with any sort of soul, I'd hope we'd all be appalled by these reports.

I think if they committed these heinous crimes then they should be court martialed and have to deal with the consequences.

I think Article 6 of the Code of Conduct sums it up appropriately:

"I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America."

That's a bit of an exaggeration there. Get your facts straight.
The soldiers involved, if found guilty should be punished accordingly.
