How do you kno if your transfer case motor is set rigt? There is High,Neutral and Low on the transfer case motor. The switch i have in my SUV is Auto, 4 Wheel Drive High, and 4 Wheel Drive Low . If it is set in Auto...what should the transfer case motor be reading?

your transfer case (not a motor, a "slave" gearbox attached to the transmission) should at most times be set at AUTO. This is for newer suv's that have an electric motor built into the t-case for push-button control. older suv's like mine (see picture) simply have a gear shift to engage the t-case. AUTO on yours will engage the t-case automatically when extra grip is needed...such as a snowy highway/road. It is not suggested that one have the t case enagaged in either high or low under normal driving conditions.
