It is likely due to an increased likelyhood of depression. MAny people experience SADD a form of depression related to lack of sunlight. On the other hand couples who marry in the summer have the most sunlight available for the first few months of their marriage and are likely to feel they have done the right thing....also most animals mate during the early spring to ensure the warm weather for their offspring, making this feel more successfull even though it doesn't really apply to human reproduction. Best wishes

i think it's just coincidence. i was married in march the 1st time around, and believe me, the month had nothing to do with the divorce. second time, feb. and we are still going great. i think it has more to do with friendship and trust and a willingness to work together than the time when married. but i would be interested to see the stats on your q, just for fun.

they are the ickiest times of the year, cold, damp, wet, depressing, no real holiday sor anything like that, its goes to show that your personality reflects in all you do therefore i believe thats why those may have a higher divorce rate.

maybe those people felt kind of lonely during the long winter months and tied the knot too quickly........then realise their mistake later on......a passing thought.
