We would not be here because all the planets revolve around the sun and they "live" in the galaxy. And the Earth is where we live so no people would be living. Pretty dumb question if you ask me.

Let me try this idea about space. how is space made, it is dimension. a point is location. but space is distance. three distances give the three dimensions. length, width and hieght.
no space is no dimension, all matter at one location with no distance at all. this is the theoretical condition of the start of the universe. this is the singularity called the big bang.there would be nothing, no space, no time, no distance,no light and not even dark

same as "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there, does it make a sound?" The point is, most of us agree that it causes waves in the air that could have been detected as sound, but can we call it "sound" if no one hears it?
Your question is more extreme. If there were nothing, should it be called "nothing"? Perhaps it could be called "everything".

What would you have if there was no space? A blackhole.
Blackholes: Stars that have collapsed with a gravitational pull so strong that everything, even light, is compressed within.
