Is CIMA recommended in Australia?

Im an Cima student.After my studies I would like to work in Australia.But one of my friends in Australia told me that CIMA is not recommended in Australia.Is that true?

do you mean Chartered Institute of Management Accountants ?
if so, CIMA is not recognised in Australia
