I am going to guess that you are not a native English Speaker -- Eastern European maybe? In any event -- I am American, and from the perspective here -- only extreme fanatics would refer to homosexuality as a syndrome, which is why you are getting some of the answers you are getting. They presume you are a nut.

I don't presume you are a nut, I presume you are an ESL (English as a Second Language) speaker from elsewhere on our magnificent planet.

So, thank you for the question.

The short answer is, I think there is good reason to believe scientifically that homosexuality is not a syndrome, and is inborn.

So no -- I am not against homosexuality and for that matter, I am not against the gay community, if that is what you substitued the word syndrome in for.

You have a right to be for or against anything you want, that is the nature of freedom. Your freedom ends only when it harms someone else.

That is as honest an answer as I can give you.

Kind regards,

Reynolds Jones

I'm not against gay syndrome, I just think it's high time the homosexuals except it for what it is. There are many syndromes that don't have a medical condition, or a physical deformity. Look at asperger syndrome for an example. These people where born this way, they are smart, they are clean, they come from "normal" families, many have money, (look at Bill Gates), The main diagnostic criteria for Aspies is that they have a hard time with social situations, developing relationships and reading "body language", many Aspies have, for lack of a better word, tunnel vision. Meaning they tend to focus heavily on a narrow margin of subjects, but are quite brilliant in their area of expertise. Is having asperger syndrome wrong? NO, is having asperger syndrome different? YES. Does having asperger syndrome make life more challenging? Yes!

The Aspies I know DON'T want to be cured, they are happy in their bodies, but realize they ARE different.

The homosexuals I know don't want to be cured, they are happy in their bodies, but don't think they are ANY different. They say its not a choice, & they are born that way...sure I can believe it, but it is not "normal" If it was "normal" 80% of the worlds population would be homosexual. Their brains are wired differently than "neurologically typical humans"..thus, no matter how hard it is to hear, is the main diagnostic criteria for a "SYNDROME"

I'm gay. I'm not sick yet. Does this syndrome have any serious complications? Like growing a third arm? My face goes crooked? I finger paint and say yay!? Or is it a syndrome that allows people who are gay, like myself, to throw wonderful dinner parties, cook amazing and extraordinary meals? Decorate my apt better than most guys my age at 25? Work hard and stay with my b/f of 5 yrs, no kids and a hell lotta of money? Does the syndrome let the gays perfect and enrich the arts and entertainment culture? Absolutely. Do we make life happy, funny and more richer and far more entertaining and profoundly diverse than a straight person? Of course. Are we enduring, tolerant, appreciative, respectful and giving? Yes. We must have one hell of a great disease. Margaritas and sushi are the remedy I think lol. And yes, the only cure for this syndrome is to sing Celine Dion as you spring clean. lol. Now if only this syndrome made me lose 10lbs. lol

I am against children being born with a very bad set of genes, especially those that contribute to stupidity and lack of ability to think. You must not be one of those people, for you have come up with a NEW syndrome, and I assume it has been developed through years of psychiatric study of a huge number of people, with considerable controls in place. I am so sure you data is iron-clad, and is not derived from .... The Bible. Please present your data, statistical skews, norms, controls, how the double blind study was done, etc. I am very interested in what you have discovered. Where is your research published??? Oh...I see...you are a blithering idiot after all. I am sure your parents are very proud.

Well I wasn't aware there was a "GAY SYNDROME" what are you worried because you have recently been diagnosed?

I mean come on, if you spent less time worrying about other peoples sex lives, and more time on your own maybe you could be a little happier.

i am against people's homophobia and hatred, because in general they have no clue what the gay society goes through.
