I think that they are athletes but it's not a real sport. Pro Wrestling can never be a real sport because they already know what the results are. It's not a true contest of physical superiority or skill so it's an acting show with athletes.

It is a staged performance, but accidents do happen and some of the wrestlers do get hurt for real sometimes and the Physical stress that all wrestlers undergo is very high so that makes it a sport. Also, the people who do that are professionals so they know exactly what they are doing to make safe as possible.

good luck.

Some of it is real. Some puches are fake, but you can't ffake it when Rey Mysterio does a crossbody or RVD does a Five-Star Frogsplash. And how are you gonna fake jumping off the top of a Hell in A Cell. Trust me, even if some of it is fake, some of it is real.

Pro Wrestling is staged but don't let that fool you that those superstars aren't great athletes. Rey Mysterio Eddie Guerrero matches were some of the greatest matches and they couldn't have been if it was all fake.

It is good Entertainment no doubt.
I realise that it is fake but I don't care because I enjoy it alot, its funny, has good storylines and no matter what people say, the wrestlers are REAL athletes! just like any other sport.
