ill take a different approach.. answer: as long as the balloon can stay in the air. assuming the sun doesnt explode before the balloon runs out of gas, it would be able to view the sun (the same sun because there is only one) an infinate ammount of times

If a ballon could see; it could see only one sunset since every sunset is a unique phenomenon. Even the same sunset will look different to two balloons in different locations.

Once. The balloon would have to be travelling at least as fast as the Earth is spinning on it's axis...up to 1100 mph at the equator.

If the ballon is high enough and is heading easterly, it would continuosly view the same sunset for as long as it stayed in that same relative position.
