Technically, everyone eventually dies from an arrythmia, asystole is something we all eventually face, and the arrythmia would be secondary to the drug overdose, not the other way around. Drug overdose can cause several arrythmias ranging from bradycardia to SVT, it just depends on what the drug is. What usually is painful is the treatment for the arrythmia, such as transcutaneus pacing or syncronized cardioversion. The more serious arrythmias or the treatment does not hurt because as the other posters said ... when your dead you can't feel anything ... or at least I don't think you can. I'll let you know when I know.

One dying from this probably would not even feel it. The heart would go into a rhythm which eventually stops it; without this regular beat and function, unless reversed to a normal rhythm, will kill someone. If anyone feels pain it's probably from the overdose itself; the same way you'd feel even if the heart wasn't thrown into arrythmia.

You could look up death by cardiac arythmia on the internet but I'm sure it cant tell you about the pain because if the person died then we have no way of knowing.
