I think they are too worried about their "perfect churches" following the law to the letter, embittered toward sinnners and unforgiving self rightous attitude really shows. Also they "sell" things for profit.
I read the bible and NOONE practices what it really says to do. But that's cool we don't know any better.
You blame the poor instead of helping, the church as a whole is worried about a "clean house" and that is a sign of a mispent life. Bring the word to the poor, bring them water, clothes and food. Don't blame the poor, don't sit down or fall asleep cause now the ELITE have taken over in Government and they think we're all useless eaters, NOW will they let your child live? Im on Public Assistance and they won't let my child live I bet. Also Africa was cut off by President Bush "your christian president" now is that the attitude of christians? If so, count me in with sinners cause even Jesus ate with sinners and came to heal them, not the self rightous pharisees.
Better read some old testament. I hope all will change their attitude soon cause it's not looking too good.
Teach, don't scold
Accept, don't judge
Help, don't hurt
just my opinion, I don't have all the answers and I hope it really changes, most people think if your in a bad situation God doesn't love them and they're being punished and that is simply untrue, the word virgin for example in hebrew means nothing more than an unmarried woman. So as a single mom, I get alot of evil looks for my "sin" when i made the right choice to give and love my children.
wow, sorry, just up in the spirit here, love you and pass this forward so others may change and see God's face, for the poor will be raptured, not the pharisees and hypocrites.
We all sin, not just you or me but all, so pray for a healing.

Dear questioner,
As to your question.. well, unfortunatly, today there is no One Christianity.. rather we see a great number of churches with different concepts and teachings. So, in a way or another we actually have a great number of religions that have Christ in common and that is it..
Plus, unfortunatly, most of today's churches adopt the teachings of Paul while Jesus actually warned from people like Paul, as He in his own words stated in Matthew 5:17-18-19 who so ever shall break the least of the commandments of the old prophets or call people to [aka Paul] shall be called the least in the kingdom of God.. And we all know that Paul was the first to claim that there is no need to observe the commandments anymore.. no matter what he used as a purpose for what he said, this thing which he taught was going absolutely against the teachings of Christ mentioned in the verses above.
Plus, most of churches today either believe Jesus is God or the son of God, or both.. and this is absolutely not Biblical.. and this is all due to Paul's false teachings..
at the end, I do hope that you visit this site and understand who was Jesus and know more about Jesus, the Bible and Christianity in general ..

Wow, well I have all kinds of answers on this. None you will like and give me best answer for. You'll give that to some other blind little lamb.
What I think, abbreviated:
It's a big hoax. The bible scriptures were passed down by word of mouth for hundreds of yrs b4 being written down. Room for people to forget things and input personal biases?
We know for a fact it was redone by King James, hence the King James 'version' of the bible.
It is a book that many people absolutely live their lives by that was, when it boils down to it, written by man with maybe some influences of God. What better way to control the people?
Jesus was immaculately conceived.......come on.
He rose from the dead.....are you serious? (although this may possibly be true, they had absolutely NO way of knowing if someone was truly dead back then unless his head was missing or was charred to death)
I do believe in God, but I also belive that He created EVERYTHING in the universe. Even our best computer can't run all programs at once without error. I know that there are more planets/stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on earth and I can NOT belive that, Earth was so special that it was singled out from them.
And because you probably won't even read this all the way, much less choose it as the best answer, because it is, I have to stop.
I do, however, wish you well and hope that logic and scientific reason finds its way to you.

First, I am happy that you have found a religion that is fulfilling to you. I hope that you pursue it with a passion.
I have never practiced Christianity, so I don't have first-hand experience with it. My general feelings toward it are that it can be a moving experience although a small percentage of the practitioners have an attitude that puts people off.
I also do not care for the "this is the ONE and only TRUE way" attitude. It is insulting and can be demeaning. I find the basic theology interesting though, and some of their rites are beautiful.

I think that everyone's religion is right for them, HOWEVER, I do not believe in a God-fearing, innocent killing religion like Christianity. I also don't care for how Christians love to get into politics with their "no abortion" "no gay marriage" mentality. If you followed the Bible, then there would be no Gay's because they'd all be killed by Christians. There would also not be as many Christians because people worship money, it's an idol, and therefore you are breaking the Ten Commandments, and shall be slain.

well i don't think you should seek people's opinion, but rather God's opinion. In Ps 118:8 it says "do not put your hope in people/leaders of this world but in God", because people will always dissapoint, but God will never dissapoint you.
A question to you: was Jesus a Christian?
The term Christian was assigned to the apostles/followers of The Way in the book of Acts by pagan groups. I don't say that the meaning is wrong or that one can't use it, I'm just saying that you should seek to become a daughter/son of God, not just be a Christian (Rom 8:14), God bless!

I am a Muslim.
Its a portion of my belief that Prophet Jesus (pbuh) WAS the messenger of God for that time.
Bible was a book of God
........BUT......
Current Bible versions are not true words of God, Why? BEcause Words of God does not contain scientific errors or Mathmetical errors or grave mistakes. Bible contain all of them.
Some of the verses in Bible can be word of God and cannot be word of God, because they have conflicts in them but whole Bible is not.
For example
if you read Genesis, Chapter No. 4, Verse No. 12, it says… ‘God told Cain: you will never be able to settle you will be a wanderer.’ Few Verses later on Genesis, Chapter No.4, Verse No.17, says…‘Cain built up a city’ – unfulfilled prophecy.
Now as i See Quran it got no logical, scientific, mathemitical error but it has miracles and after studying , one realises that it is superior then science and any other book BECAUSE it is a Word of God.
If you want to read this book and know what it says then please consult any Muslims Sister or Brother she or he will give you Quran, read it and judge it yourself...... please
REMEMBER
There is no god but Allah, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the Messenger of Allah.

I like Christians, they have Great family values and are often very involved in their community. I am not christian but a do try to live up to some of the beliefs. No matter what you believe, faith is a great power in this world. Those who hate Christians often think of a self righteous hypocrite, its just another stereo type.

I am a Christian, I believe in God. The Bible is the book we base our lives on or should. My faith helps me through really hard times in life. There are times if I didn't have God to talk to and vent my frustrations too, and I didn't have him to let handle my problems- giving me the trials and tribulations in life that he does so I might grow to be a stronger person, I wouldn't know what to do when I would be faced with heartache, lonliness, sadness, fear, I would not be as strong a person as I feel I am. God has seen me through too many pot holes in life to not believe.
Look at what he created, how can you NOT believe in something so wonderful as all that?

Blah blah blah. I am dissapointed in the Christian religion. sorry. I believe it is all about being a good and true person. If I had to classify myself, I would say more of an agnostic leaning towards hinduism and more spiritual ways of life.
