This happens when you try to lighten hair thats really dark. Just splurge and get it professionally done. They may need to use hair strippers to get it out.

Well, what you need is a bronzer. You can find that at any Sally's or WallMart. Paul Mitchell makes a great one.
This is the thing about using the brown dye...that brown dye will rest on top of that fresh orange color. It will not turn brown but instead will take on some qualities of the orange which will probably make your hair a more reasonable color. If you really need to get rid of the orange, go to Sally's, tell them what you did and they will help you. You can even just call them. I bet they will tell you to wait a little while if you can, you don't want to fry your hair, and then strip the color out by bleaching it (it will go bleach blonde) and any darker color will easily take it over. lol, was the box tampered with b4 you bought it? I know as a kid, we would switch the cremes and retape the box and you have to be VERY careful when buying hair dye. Make SURE it's sealed right next time and make sure you are not using some off the wall crap. Spend the $9 and buy Miss Clairol...and YES, it works fine on men.

No it will just go more orange the best way to get it back to normal is to go to a salon services store and you can purchase a dye stripper which will take out the blonde dye then you can put a semi permanent brown dye on as your hair pores will be to open to take any other dye.

What color was your hair to begin with? If it was anything other than blonde, you can't just put blonde dye on it and expect it to change. For those with darker hair (darker meaning anything darker than blonde), the color has to be stripped out of the hair before putting blonde coloring in it. Go to a hairdresser so she can fix the problem. You run the risk of severely damaging your hair.

I have done the same thing to my hair. I used this frost n' glow bleach kit, supposedly takes your hair to platinum blonde. well it took my to glowing orange! well it was orangey yellowy anyways. but i just let mine fade out cause i didnt want to damage it. But....there is saving your hair. you can either let it fade, dye it a cooler blonde like cool ash blonde, it takes out the warmth....or you can dye it a VERY light brown, like a dark champaigne blonde. that is what i recommend because now that youve lightened it soo much it will grab any darker color and that darker color will show up WAY darker than the box. so if u do go darker, just use a subtle dark blonde, no drastic browns!!! good luck

Orange is in style now didn't any one tell you. The Japanese sure like orange hair at least. Next week you can try green and it may set a new look. Yes you can re dye it but be careful.

Use a blue shampoo specially formulated for this error. The reason it went orange is because the colour wasn't left on long enough. The blue in the shampoo will neutralise and tone the canary colour and you should be left with a nicer colour. If this fails, go to a salon! Good Luck x

i did the exact same thing and mine went ginger!! it doesnt do your hair much good but you dont want orange hair do ya!! get a darker brown than you had originally as after a while as the orange will be very absorbant so the colour will tone down so you want a couple of shades darker.

For God's sake, don't do anything stupid.
Simply use a blue dye, orange and blue = brown.
Personally, I like orange hair.

This happened to me also! You have to go as dark as you can without going black or your hair will react with the peroxide & GO GREEN!!
Best thing I did was to buy a decolourant which strips the hair of all colour & then you can immediatly put your desired colour in, remember though, follow the instructions. If this stuffs up too, see your hairdresser!!!!!!!!!
