I should have added 'some white'. Asians are brown, African people (majority) are black and in that context, the environment / place creeped in.

It started when Caucasian people first met the African peoples. The Europeans were richer, had stronger systems of government, while the African tribes were still that, tribes. The Europeans automatically thought that since they had better systems, were richer, etc., they were superior. In the beginning, when the first 'white' people took 'black' slaves, they thought that they were doing them a favour. Since they were the ones to bring them to Europe and America, the Black people were given no rights as humans. And because it took so long for them to be given proper rights, some 'white' people still think themselves superior. In Europe, oddly enough, there is not the same amount of racism against 'blacks' as there is in Northern America.

I am white, and i don't think I'm Superior to anyone, but I don't understand what the environment or where they live has to do with a person's skin color. I live in a city from NY state, and there are many blacks, whites, Chinese, Hindu,and many other nationalities,race, religions and creed. And I don't think I'm Superior to any of them. They are human just like i am.

Think of why you just asked that question?? You did because in your mind, you think certain thoughts about white people. Just because they are white doesn't mean that they think they are superior. I have 1 question for you! Ready? How come it seems, black people can say what they want and white people can't. And How come they have a B.S.A. (Black student association)? I know for a fact that black people are just as smart as white people! So.........why do black people want the help to get a scholorship, when they are just as smart?? Now, if black people are as smart as white people, then work just as hard. By black people asking for a hand out, they are in turn saying they aren't as good!

well you only feel superior if you see people who are below you. The fact is the majority of the well off society is white. But im sure not all white people think this way.

the whites are not superior than any other race. When everyone thinks that way, then a lot of people start thinking the same way. So, don't act like you are in lower class when you are with white people. You should be proud of who you are.

That is a racist remark. God created all men equal. There is always going to be someone smarter, prettier, richer, poorer, etc. than yourself. Be happy with yourself and quit worrying about other people. The environment doesn't matter.

Only racist white people think they're superior, but people of any race can be racist too. I live in Canada, and discrimination of that sort is very uncommon.

Stop feeling sorry for youself and accept what you are. I do -blonde, blue eyes, fair skin and I'm loving it. If it was a case of the enviroment we,d turn dark when we went in the sun and light when we went in the shade.

Not ALL whites are that way. The ones that are, fall into categories like "ignorant" "close minded" etc. If the parents are bigots, they raise bigots. I don't know the real answer here, but I wish it would come soon.
