Each person inherits a set of genes from his or her mother and father. Unfortunately, genes today contain many mistakes (because of sin and the Curse), and these mistakes show up in a variety of ways. For instance, research has linked many serious diseases to these mistakes—cystic fibrosis and hemophilia, for example. Less serious physical deformities may also be caused by these mistakes—for example, a missing nasal septum, shortsightedness, and so on. Let’s face it: the main reason we call each other normal is because we agree to do so!
Children inherit two sets of genes—one set from each parent. A brother and sister are likely to have similar mistakes in their genes because they are inherited from the same parents. If there were a union between such a brother and sister that produced offspring, the mistakes could pair together, resulting in two bad copies of a gene and such things as mental retardation and/or deformities in the children.
Conversely, the further away the parents are in relationship to each other, the more likely it is that they will have different mistakes in their genes. Children, inheriting one set of genes from each parent, are likely to end up with some of the pairs of genes containing one bad gene in each pair. The good gene tends to override the bad so that a deformity (a serious one, anyway) does not occur. Often the person carries the bad gene without any obvious defect. (Overall, though, the human race is slowly degenerating as mistakes—errors in copying DNA, called mutations—accumulate, generation after generation.)
This fact of present-day life, however, did not apply to Adam and Eve. When the first two people were created, they were perfect. Everything God made was ‘very good’ (Gen. 1:31). That means their genes were perfect—no mistakes! But, when sin entered the world because of Adam (Gen. 3:6), God cursed the world so that the perfect creation then began to degenerate—that is, suffer death and decay (Rom. 8:22). Over a long period of time, this degeneration would have resulted in all sorts of mistakes occurring in the genetic material of living things.

It ia again an equality granted in disguise by the God.Karma theory very well explains this question.Your karma of Poorv Janma and Karmas of your close associates are responsible for your abilities and disabilities. The God never discriminates. It is the man who discriminates.Who are you to asses or say that a person with less mental faculty lives with difficulty.

We are all equal in the eyes of the lord. Just because people are born with difficulties, doesn't mean god love them less. He loves all his children the same. I believe people with difficulties are here to show us that there is more to life. Everyone of us has a purpose here, weather we have a unique part of us, or to teach/ show others certain things. For instance autistic (sorry about spell) children/ adults are very creative. even thought they may not be able to speak as we do they are very artistic and can communicate in other ways. They are all a blessing you just have to see it and be thankful!!!!!

MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU THAT COMMENT TO THIS QUESTION EVEN IF YOU CHOOSE NOT BELIEVE. I PRAY YOU WILL ONE DAY SEE THE TRUTH. BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

Equality means "of like value" not "the same"
The key to growth is difficulty -- those who have no suffering, no tests, no difficulties do not grow spiritually, morally, etc. Sometimes it is not birth, but "accidents" -- an acquaintence of mine, a basketball star, was blined in an accident when he was in his 20's. He told me it was the best thing that ever happened to him. "I was an egomaniac -- all the women wanted me, all the guys wanted to be my friend... I thought I was better than everyone else. I was prejudiced and a jerk. But when I became blind, everything changed. I had to lose my sight to gain insight."

Thanks For Your Question :)

Well we are not equal in The physical structure but we are all equal in the spiritual structure we all have souls we all could worship God plus God created the blind and the deaf and all the handy cap to see how normal people will treat them ? and God didn't forget them too
he said in The Quraan : No blame or sin is there upon the blind, nor is there blame or sin upon the lame, nor is there blame or sin upon the sick. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), He will admit him to Gardens beneath which rivers flow (Paradise); and whosoever turns back, He will punish him with a painful torment. [48:17]

hope this info helps you :)

We geniuses just are too clever to bother with the Lord.

Why waste time on a myth that doesn't exist.

More useful to spend time finding a miracle cure for ridding the world of Roman Catholic Clerics who are child molesters.

They aren't condemned. In fact, I think they are blessings in disguise as they teach us about the value of love and compassion. The children with Down Syndrome, I think share a characteristic...unconditional love. And I know someone who's mentally deficient...she annoys the heck out of me, but it's not really her fault, and it takes tremendous effort from me to be patient with her, and she too teaches me about how to be a better person. It's easy to enjoy and love the 'perfect' people...a bit harder to appreciate the ones who are not so perfect, but we're better people for it.

Equal in their right to exist so someone who is more gifted does not use it to exterminate them. physical/ mental faculties have nothing to do with right to equality. Yes, they would perish naturally in nature but compassion is what civilised human society is based upon.
