I drink tap. I think it depends where abouts in the UK you are - I know in central London people are actually told NOT to drink tap water because it's too hard and impure. My grandparents live on a farm and have their own internal water supply, and they have filters on everything, even the shower, and to be honest their water tastes exactly the same as the stuff that comes out of my taps!
Also, I am a concientous citizen - I will continue drinking tap water for as long as the government spikes it with untraceable drugs as a form of mind control... well, I wouldn't want to miss the message, would I?

A lot of people drink tap water. I drink tap water. Nothing wrong with it.
I suppose it depends on the tap you're drinking from. If it's in your home, typically only the kitchen cold water tap is drinkable as this comes direct from the mains supply. Don't drink water from the bathroom taps as the water is most likely to come from a storage tank. You really don't want to know what sort of things can get into your storage tank..
One thing will happen if you continue drinking tap water from a drinkable source - your thirst will disappear.

Drinking tap water isn't trendy, walking around the High Street with a plastic bottle of over priced water is. All those water bottling companies must be laughing they're socks off all the way to the bank.

Water companies (in the uk at least) claim that their water is cleaner than bottled water. I worked for the largest water co in uk and when i had my co induction i was taken to a water treatment plant where they accepted blood/offal etc piped from a nearby abbatoirs and would hence treat it for us to drink. When I asked what processes the co used to eliminate CJD (or BSE - whatever - mad cow disease) from the input to our supply the staff there did not know (especially considering hospitals' own cleaning processes cannot eliminate it from their equipment).
On the other hand bottled water is not allowed for babies because of the high salt content and boiled tap water is recommended for them as the healthiest option.
As always the answer is probably to make your own to be sure what ur putting in ur body, but with water u would have to catch the rainfall. Not forgetting though that all water has been pissed out by at least seven other people before you drink it - nice thought, eh?

You'll probably be healthier. When they purify water, they remove many elements from it that the body needs.
Even in America people have a tendency to drink bottled water even though it has nothing in it to replenish lost salts, etc. Thay are now starting to put things in bottled water that is supposed to be there. Not sure if it's enough or not.

Nope, I drink tap water all the time. Absolutely nothing wrong with it - full of tasty minerals, flouride, calcium. What more could you want from a drink? I'm never going to stop.

You stay healthy as tap water IS mineral water... the minerals stick to the tap ie calcium to make bones... You will be fine... Bottled water is like selling rice to the chinese or sand to the arabs

You're not. I do. What will happen is you end up richer than those who buy poncey waters. Buying water always seemed completely random to me when it comes out of a tap.

All the Brits will run out of water and be unable to take a shower or bath if you keep drinking it !
So nothing different will happen really!
Hope this helps??

I don't drink it anymore, but I'm sure it's better for you than bottled water.
Bottled water is not as pure as they first made it out to be?
It should be OK but that would depend on the water in your area. Some areas are known to have problems with chemicals in their water.
Stay healthy & go for it. :-)
