I agree with spillski, samantha and vw. ...can you ask yourself a question? ask yourself, why am I asking this question? am I ready? i made the mistake of not knowing what I wanted and got pregnant at 17. had my baby alone, boyfriend dumped me and baby. it was very hard, so please be very careful, it's your life. love yourself and have fun with the world around you. releationships happen when time permits them in our lives. it's ok to date, just dont have sex if you're not 100% sure, that's all.

I'd say at least 15 to start dating, and there should be no hurry to have sex. Both people should use protection, and remember the pill doesn't protect against STD's and condoms can break. I was almost 18 before I had sex, but some of my friends have told me that they started at 12. I would wait until at least around 17 to have sex, just to develop more emotionally and mentally to handle the consequences. Sex changes everything, and even though it can be great, remember that you give a little of yourself to everyone you have sex with. Take care and good luck.

After High School. I'll give you a realistic answer. Just finish High School at least before you start having relationships and sex. The extra baggage that comes with relationships should not be placed on a teenager.

Start dating after you've been in a car accident so you know what drama is like beforehand and can make reasonable judgements about what is most important in life. Start having sex after you've been accepted to college. That way you've proven to the rest of us that you can make good decisions in life. Then there's the cliche, "when it feels right". Obviously, "when it feels right" is a great benchmark for every kid out there who is living life for the first time. But, you know what I mean.

When they can afford to live with the consequences. People should start dating when they feel they are ready - start with something casual.
I think you should only start dating seriously or having sex when you can afford to raise the kid if an accidental pregnancy occurs.
