1. You can love others through compassion, tolerance, and patience.
2. You can be happy and make others happy through "other-centerness" and not self-centerness. Basically, don't be self-centered. Also see 1.
3. Medatation will make you peaceful, relaxed, and calm. Though it's more difficult, with practice, it is better than any drug known to man.
4. True awareness can only be achieved through medatation. The absence of thought will make you become more aware.
5. Serve who? Serve all other human beings unconditionally without judgement and without attachment.

To increase your capacity to love other beings is to love yourself first. Take care of yourself, have strength to take care of others, too. Helping others without asking anything in return will be enough to make you happy. They genuine joy you are giving them will come back to you and replenish your heart with the same joy also. And you will never ask for anything because you will feel fulfilled and happy. By doing all of these, it will make you peaceful, relaxed and calm. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

make your heart as soft as you can there are times when the heart become so hard and it does not feel any pain of others
