Take the Newark Liberty Airport Express bus,
which will drop you off directly in Lower Manhattan;
on Wall Street at Barclay and Church Streets
OR in Chinatown at Walker Street.

One Way = $14
Round Trip = $23

Easy to find at Newark Airport, and DIRECT trip to downtown Manhattan. I come home this way all the time.

I personally like the Airtrain. You take the monorail from your terminal to the EWR-Airport Rail Station. From there you catch a NJ Transit train to Penn Station, NY. Whole trip is about 25-30 minutes and its a little cheaper than the bus IIRC. Cheers
