well, she's now into her late 40s and she has hyperthyroidism (maybe it's one of the symptoms)... lately, she's getting this tinges/tinggling sensation on her arms and legs... she said that it's always aching and that when she doesn't move for a certain period of time, her arms and legs are sort of going numb... should i tell her to consult a doctor? or is it just a sign of aging?

Don't just tell her, take her to one NOW.

Sounds like warning signs of poor circulation and that is a signal from the cardio-vascular system. Bottom line: it's worth having the doctor run heart tests to pinpoint what's going on NOW before matters turn serious or fatal.

I am in my 40's and I can assure you that it is not a sign of aging!
Your mom should definitely see her doctor. If you are old enough to drive, offer take her. She may feel scared to go, but you should let her know that you are worried about her and care. If she won't go, call her doctor and see if you can get him/her to call your mom. You might also try talking with her best friend; often times, friends can be very persuasive.

I think she needs to see a doctor. Especially if she has health insurance there is no reason why she should put her health on the line. Tell her that you care about her and it would take a lot of weight off your shoulders if she would go. Best of Luck!

Definitely tell her to go to the doctors..even make the appointment for her and take her there!! This is something that the body is telling her needs attention. I work in neurology/neurosurgical nursing...so please do not muck about. It could just mean a disc in her back is out and needs re alignment, or perhaps it is something else. Good luck :)

If you have to drag her to the doctor kickin' and screamin', honey, THEN DO IT! It could be a sign of poor circulation, or worse. I'm not trying to scare you, but based on what you're telling me, Momma needs to go to see the doc quick, fast, and in a hurry. Good luck, m'darlin'!

A doctor's visit is warranted in this case. Her symptoms need to be assessed and addressed by a medical professional soon, very soon.

I think she should see a doctor, sooner the better. It sounds like something totally different then aging.

Ditto on the doctor. Tingling and numbness in limbs is not normal.
