teacup poodle: they are extremely cute and very smart. They catch on to things like potty training very quickly. I have never had a better experience with getting dogs than i have with my poodle!
Do you live in India? I live in the USA. Do people in India speak English? I'm sorry im just curious.

If you want a mellow lap dog who doesn't bark a lot and is loyal, a Carin terrier is great. If you like a playful pal you can't beat a lab.

I've always liked Labradors or Golden Retrievers, but it will largely depend on how much room you have and how much time you have to devote to exercising the dog. If you're active, a high energy dog would be fine for you, for example. Where you live can also play a role. It would be unfair to raise a St. Bernard in Arizona.

Just get a mixed breed, or "mutt"...they're cheap and are the most even-tempered, loving dogs. I have a 14 year old shepherd-lab mix that we got from a shelter at 4 months old...just about at the end of her life, she has some health issues, but is still a nice family dog, great around kids.

Teddy Bear dogs are small, energetic, but hypoallergenic.
If I were actually going to get a dog though, I would probably just go to the shelter and adopt the one that responded to me the most. The ones there need home more than a purebred puppy that the owner wants to charge you hundreds of dollars for.

Your just going to have to do research on different breeds according to your lifestyle. Do you have alot of time to invest in a dog? If you get a high energy dog your going to have to give it plenty of exercise, long walks etc.. Or are you more of a couch potato? Are you away from home alot during the day? You have to consider your lifestyle when looking at different breeds of dogs.
