Honestly I think that if there is a devil and a god then it is all just some sort of conspiracy to keep us under control. As it is I prefer to believe in something that I can see, and touch, and smell and feel such as Wicca. Proud witch here! Anyway...I'm convinced that the whole point of religion is to give people something to believe in and something higher than themselves. The world in general needs to stop, take a chill pill and just say you know what...whats real is you and me and so what if our skin or the way we live is different?
WE ARE ALL THE SAME.
Anyways sorry I deviated but thats my opinion. People dont like it but...oh well. You are entitled to yours im entitled to mine just dont push yours on me cuz you can be dam sure i wont push mine on you.

Satan rebelled and wanting to put himself in Gods place.
He was created as an immortal being tho so killing him is out of the question.
The thing is that the whole matter of 'whatntype of being' here is that Satan is nothing like the being of God although many try and portray it as some kind of struggle between equals it really isnt. For example God is omnipresent (everywhere all of the time) whereas Satan isnt so the whole premise of Satans rebellion was built on a misnomer.
The Devil isnt the one doing God any favours as most people will find that they tend to find punishment BY their sins rather than FOR them. Does THAT sound like a party to you??
I think the question about 'what happens if you fancy an angel' means that you are thinking that life after death is rather like this life only cleaned up a bit - wheras it will be very different to what we now experience. Jesus himself said that there would be no marriage in heaven (apart from himself to his own bride - that is the believers) - no male, no female therefore no marriage.
And as to faith being 'private' - there will come a day when everything that is now hidden will be revealed and nothing will be private.
War is bought about through peoples sinfulness rather than just blaming 'religionists'
there are many neighbourhoods where different peoples and religions co exist together without incident - and many times where people of the same (or barely discernable differences) go to war for years - so I cant go along with 'religion' causing wars

"the devil punishes God's rejects?"
When did you decided you or anyone be a reject of God? Wow. . .
1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
_______________________________
If you have sinned I feel thats when you know you have and if confess to God, he loves you and will forgive you. The devil is doing no one a favor, he wishes that he can make things of sin look great to you, so you are going against the love of God. The Devil is happy, God is sad if you do not turn away from things of the devil.
I believe people read this wrong. When someone say "God Fearing", if they know God, that is a comfort, he is love, all we have to be is accept that, you might fear losing out on seeing Heaven, yes God has power, he also gave the devil power, we have to make up your own mind how we want to live, who are we going to follow.
Personally I want to feel pleased with peace, doing no harm, though when someone needs attention it is easier to listen to th devil.
Read you Bible, Read it with the faith that you will find the guidence, only you can take care of that/you. You honestly can't depend on the devil to hold you hand and guide you to a safe place.
A lot of people fear God's words, makes it easy to no decide to take a stand on who/what you are. Read it for yourself, make up your own mind. If the Bible is the truth, getting to a better place within yourself to be happy and clean you will not worry about missing a party and wanting to lay it on with a hunk in heaven.
" Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting, get understanding." Proverbs 4:7

Satan or the Devil hates God so therefore he punishes him by hurting the ones God loves. Mankind.
From the very beginning when Lucifer who is the Devil was thrown out of hearven for pride he knew that he was defeated. He knew that God would one day conquer him. This was accomplished on the Cross by Jesus two thousand years ago.
God could destroy the devil anytime he wants to but he alloted a time, and that time is judgement day. Where its say's in Philliphians chapter 2' Every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.' It aslo say's that it will be man, angel and demon.
If God chose to do it today then he would have to also punish mankind today too. that means that those that haven't accepted Jesus into their hearts will also go to hell with the devil and all his angels.
Sadly this will happen one day, but God wants all to come to repentance, but he also knows that many will still chose the devils evil ways. Satan has lost, but he takes many with him to hell, by decieving them so that it hurts God more.
What about you where will you spend eternity? Heaven with Almighty God, or Hell with that idiot Satan?

well i'm not trying to force what i believe on you but here's what i think. God lovs everyone but when it comes right dow t it he loves us so much he gave us choices even though he knew we might make the wrong ones. He did this so we could learn and so he even gave this choice to his angels who the Devil once was...but he chose not to be with God and was cast out because its not smart keeping a traitor close...i guess its like if the USA had invited the Al Quieda to visit. Anyway God cannot accept those who do not accept him an so when they die their souls are not his to protect so the Devil takes them and punishes them because he knows how much it hurts God to see his own suffer. By punishing these lost souls the Devil is getting revenge on God...I hope I explained that well enough...

God rejects no one, there is the freedom of choice in all things. We choose to follow him or we choose not to. Bad things happen, that's life in a world of sin, that in no way means God or Satan is punishing anyone. Now it's true, for those who choose to follow Christ no evil may touch them without God's permission. That doesn't mean Satan has complete control of non-believers either, but he has more control of them than believers. Why does God allow that to happen? To bring people closer to Him, both believer and non-believers. But it all comes down to choice.
And you're right, Satan does rejoice when a non-believer ends up with him, that is his goal, to get as many people with him as possilbe. But God and the angels also rejoice when a believer joins them. It all comes down to choice, everyone has it.
You should read Job, that might explain it a little better.
And yes, some ''chrisitian's'' do judge and ''smite'' but do not, for one minute, believe that they are acting for God. "Judge not, lest ye be judged." That is saved for God alone on Judgement day, and those who try and take his place will have much to answer for.

No sins on your part friend, only confusion which runs rampant on this topic. First of all, God doesnt make anyone do anything. So murderers, child molesters or car accidents are not Gods blame. The reason for Satans (Lucifers) purpose IS to tempt people. Before human creation there was a war in heaven remember? 50% of the angels took Lucifers side and 50% was on Gods side. After God and his angels proved victorious God again offered forgiveness to the fallen angels and Lucifer if they would ask forgiveness. In the end 1/3 of the angels hearts were hardened as was Lucifers, determinded that God was unfair to demand unilateral worship they were cast to the earth, never to return to heaven. Which brings us to YOU and I. We are the rare creation of God to replenish Gods worshipers. However UNLIKE the ANGELS you and I are special!!! We are tried every day by temptation to stray from God and make the decisions EVERY DAY to follow his will or to be rebellious. In the end, in your small lifetime of school here on this planet, you will have proved worthy, or rebellious. It matters not how long you have lived, whether you were hit by a car, murdered by a maniac, or died in a war. The only thing that matters to God is who you were when your time came. You will have proved yourself worthy in this time on Earth, or you will have proved yourself rebellious and join the fallen Angles in judgement day (which is to come).

Come On!! the Devil is Man's interpretation of God when He doesn't fulfill Man's expectations.
Was it not God that instructed Moses on Mount Sinai (allegedly)
' For I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments'.
Where was the commandment - 'Thou shalt not commit bribery and corruption'?
God and the Devil - more likely the same person.
My religion predates modern doctrines by over 20,000 years and has been proved scientifically to exist at those times.
It reveres nature and all thats within.
If a God created our world, is it not better to protect what is real than to idolise an imagination?
I'm sure that any God would welcome us protecting His creation, rather than using religion as an excuse for wars and destruction in His name.
Then again, 'the Devil find work for idle hands'.

The devil doesn't punish sinners. The punishment is being condemned to eternity without the love of God.
