Tire the bastard out! Take him on long walks and use a squirt gun when he starts chewing on things that he shouldn't. Take control, but be patient. Puppies are annoying to deal with. If he's looking to please you, you'll be able to teach him just about anything. But remember, walks are the primo number 1 key to deal with a wild one.

if it is 5 weeks old its going to chew, get it some toys NOT YOUR OLD SHOES OR SOCKS that teaches them that those items are OK. some real puppy toys.pick up any objects you don't want chewed on. its kinda like having a baby around, you have to puppy proof.try using his name when you praising him or playing with him but not when your disaplining him. they associate there name with good boy , when he does bad say " no bad boy/girl. i think he is to young for the water gun but after 2 months i would bring out the water gun. and hopefully your dog was fixed and that's why you cant bath it. some vets are fixing dogs at 2 lbs or 2 months which ever comes first. and if its not fixed i would do so asap. do research, look at the pros and cons use the web oh mighty one. good luck.

Don't Shoot the Dg as suggested is very good but with a pup that young get The Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey.
Try to get it as soon as you can because your pup will develop very quickly and I would hate you to have problems at a later date.

get it house broken when it craps out side praise it .play tennis with it By using a puppy crate or confined area, and plenty of rewards for outdoor urination and defecation, you can train your puppy to “go” outdoors.
For many new puppy owners, house-training is the first order of business, after lots of cuddling. It is also the first hurdle encountered by new puppy owners. The good news is that, unless the new puppy was previously confined for long periods in dirty living conditions, she will naturally tend to avoid doing her "business" in places where she must sleep or eat. This instinct is important when it comes to house-training. It’s also one of the reasons for acclimating your puppy to a crate, or some other small area for times when she can’t be supervised.

You must teach it the word 'release'.
If he's pulling on a towell yell release, if he doesn't release smack him in the face. Not hard enough to hurt him, just enough so it gets the idea and lets go.
