Hmm, confidence is a tricky thing, isn't it? Most people aren't all that confident, particularly when it comes to relationships. Some overcompensate by covering up their insecurities with arrogance -- and it's difficult to have a healthy relationship with that. Which is why a bit of shyness can be cute or endearing; it's reassuring to know that the other person is just as nervous as you are.
I guess it's all about trying to find the middle ground.

Unless they want to help them, because they pity them. But who wants that?
Girls love confident guys. Often the only guys who show confidence are also jerks, which is why girls "always fall for the a**holes instead of the nice guys". So if you're a nice guy, work on building that confidence, and you'll get the girl :-)

I'm sure some do, but most of those girls are the kinds of girls that like to take advantage of men and use him for his money or to make themselves feel better - not the kinda girl you wanna be with.
Confidence is very attractive in a man, to me anyway, but there's a very distinct difference between confidence and arrogance. I don't really wanna be with someone who is always down on himself and a focusing on his problems. And on the flip side of that - I don't wanna be with someone who is in love with himself. There has to be a balance.
It's the same with girls for guys.

I can see that, its not so much that their not confident but that their quiet. Its kind of mysterious and you want to find out all about them. But a guy who really and truly isn't confident won't work out in the long run, well for me it doesn't anyway.

No they do not. Unless they're dykes deep down.
(Maybe some do, but that's mostly either due to:
-Low Self Esteem, or
-Pity)

Some girls might. When I first met my bf and he was holding my hand, his palm was sweaty and he was so nervous. I thought it was so cute! He's more confident now though.
