Don't format the stick by the computer. Use the camera to format the memory stick.

PS. Why on Earth are you keeping over 300 photos on your camera? you should put the photos into your computer each day, and delete them from the camera.

There might be a problem with the stick. If you really need so much capacity, get a couple more sticks. Don't push your one stick to the max if it is giving you problems. Max capacity is an estimate, but there should not be a format error in any case.

;-D Good luck, and happy photo shoots!

Two things I have discovered about Memory Sticks:

. You should format them ONLY in the camera.

. They behave slower and sometimes strangely when they get nearly full.

I would try unloading the Stick to computer more often, and camera format before using again. If you continue to have problems, contact manufacturer for replacement.

Good Luck

Have you for-mated a card on your PC? I have a Sony PC and 2 Sony digital cameras. I would suggest taking a photo then getting your PC to recognize it then you should be able to shoot more. Once cam and PC are using same format for memory stick.

I truly have the very same type and it would not act like that. Have someone that's strong at utilizing digital contraptions attempt an same element and in the adventure that they get an same result it really is time to go back it for a alternative. I accept as true with Petra. The battery (singular) is rechargable if you're utilizing commonly used batteries that's what's incorrect yet i visit't ascertain out the way you would get them in.
