Opus One is very nice and a lot of the big name Champagnes from France are very nice. There is one wine from Italy, the producer is Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia and the wine is called "Ornellaia". It retails for around $140 Canadian but it is amazing. The current vintage we can get here in Canada is 2002 and here are the wine tasting notes on it.

"Layers of exotic black fruit, smoke, dried herbs, layers of caressing richness. Drink 2007-2015."
