The answer to Bono´s question on how to end poverty is ¨Jesus¨. And it´s not religion or going to church on sundays. Whenever a man let´s Jesus into his life, he or she changes forever! Before Jesus, they wasted on casinos, discos, drinks, extramarital affairs, etc, where greedy, egocentric, and more (ask any moviestar who now follows Christ). That sort of thing leads to poverty, and you don´t have to be rich to enjoy all those things.
If you gave all your money to charity (Mr. Bono) and everybody on the world could have the same amount of money it wouldn´t change a thing. Human nature is selfish. Very soon the gap between rich and poor would open again, because some people are "wiser" than others on those matters (business and acumulating, which is not a bad thing at all)
The answer to the question is "Jesus". Amen!

Bono is an open minded decent human being who has respect for all religions. He is not bound by one single church. His father was catholic and his mother was protestant so he got to be familiar with both branches. Whatever about religion, this man (although hilariously full of himself) has done more for those in poverty then all of us but together so ask yourself does it matter if he is catholic or protestant or whatever. Of course it doesn't. See what religious bigotary does. You feel the right to critisize a good decent man just because he doesn't share fully your narrow minded beliefs. Shame on you.

When you've done even half the good he's done, maybe then you can critisize.

If you're a real Christian, why do you set about creating enmity between Christians in the Catholic Way and those not in the Catholic Way?

Rev. 21:8: Revilers (hatemongers) burn in the lake of fire.

"There are not 100 people who hate the Roman Catholic Church. There are 100 million people who hate what they think is the Roman Catholic Church."

Maybe because he respects that the Catholic church offers some solace to many of the lay people that are comfortable with that dogma. So his respect of the adherents rights to their individual beliefs means that Bono respects what the Pope represents to the people that are into it? Just guessing.

1. The Pope is a Christian

2. Speaking as a Christian myself, there are many none Christians that I deeply respect. We are called to love all people, respect is a part of that.

All Christianity is from the same root belief, Catholic. So, in short, all Chrsitians are to support and respect their Pope.

We are told by God in His word to Respect all of man's authority because they wouldn't be there if God didn't allow it in the first place.

We are to LOVE one another not just the Christians and being "friendly and cool" toward non-Christians wins souls for God not man's approval. As you have so obviously demonstrated.

Every Christian should be friendly to non-Christians.

And the Pope IS Christian, just specifically Catholic.

What precisely do you mean? appreciate ability many countless issues to different human beings. I appreciate him as a Christian chief. yet he isn't my father. God in heaven is my Father and my earthly father is my father. I did take excitement in and appreciate Pope John Paul, yet he earned it. Jesus is my beginning, and my rock. he's right here with me. The Pope is in Rome. And Jesus did no longer provide those keys to in basic terms Peter, He exceeded them to all believers. Do you recognize what you're asserting? If we had to rely on one guy or a handful of fellows for education from God then we are in threat. God dealt with it whilst He despatched His Holy Spirit. He meant for us to enable Him lead us promptly contained in direction of the Holy Spirit, no longer in basic terms via others. If human beings rely on others extremely than God Himself they take the prospect of being deceived. Jim Jones and David Koresh are reliable examples of fellows who've deceived people who trusted others extremely than God. Now, i understand that the Pope is unlike them, yet do you get what i'm getting at? God leads us contained in direction of the Bible and the Holy Spirit. Church leaders ought to easily be certain what God is already coaching us.
