schizophrenia is typically an affliction full of visual and auditory hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren't there) as well as extreme paranoia and making odd connections with inanimate objects .. having a silent conversation or mental connection with your family pet.. being convinced you are a power higher than yourself.. and being on the same wavelength with something like your radio or TV.. and thinking the program is talking to you and only you on a level that only you can understand..
Some of these traits are also common in the extreme manic side of Bipolar Disorder..
that is the mental side of mental illness..
but if it is some kind of singular object that gives you the creeps.. like spiders.. arachnophobia .. or people and busy places.. agoraphobia .. or tight places like elevators and closets .. claustrophobia..
These are all simply phobias and everyone typically has at least one thing thing they are naturally very afraid of.
Mine is bathophobia.. afraid of deep water.
It's natural.
