(I saw the name of one software that does that on a graphics card box but i forgot it) it would be rather helpful if you gave me the name of the software that came on that box (the graphics card was the nvidia geforce 5500).

you need some virtual cd drives like daemon or alcohol 120% or virtual cd or virtual drive or clone virtual cd ,.. ;)
search them on www.download.com

no software does that. every EXE in the game (the icon you click on to start it) has an encryption that matches the CD. there are thousands of different encryptions that game makers use to allow the game to run only with the CD in the drive. you can, however, look online for EXE hacks that dont need the CD in the drive. it is risky, but if it works then it is worth it.

www.gameburnworld.com is a good site for hacks..and no crap.

Game Drive, it cost $30 you can get it from www.farstone.com.
They have a free evaluation copy to try. I have a much older version and it's great. Basically it copies your CDs to your harddrive so you have a virtual juke box.

Try Virtual Drive.
It may help you..... Copy entire CD on hard disk, use this software to function as CD

well u can try virtual cd software that lets u burn a copy to your hard drive and run it form there of u can check places like http://www.gameburnworld.com/gameburnworld.htm
that soem times have patched for games that require cds to run
