you don't say if your cat was injured or what. if the cat was injured and the bleeding won't stop, you need to get the cat to a vet quick.

cats are just like anything, anybody else. you can tell if the animal is in distress or not just by looking at it and talking to it. if the cat is obviously upset and in stress, get it to a vet quick.

unfortunately, your bank account may be as poor as mine and 24 hour vets or veterinary emergency rooms ain't cheap. if the cat is not in distress, i think you could safely wait till the morning to take it to a vet.

back in the 'good old days' when i was a kid--taking a cat to the vet was unheard of. our cats would get in fights and what not and bleed a while and then be ok. i'm not trying to minimize how badly you feel, you just need to realize that cats are tough little guys and have managed to survive bouts of bleeding from injuries for thousands of years before vets came along.

best of luck to you and your cat.

First where is the cat bleeding from? If the cat has a deep wound it might have to have stiches. If it's a small wound a cat will keep it clean on it's own. If there is some bleeding you can use what they put on a animals nails when they are cutting them so they don't bleed. Can't really give you an accurate answer not knowing what has happened or where the cat is bleeding at!

Why are you wasting time here asking this question at all? You should have taken your cat into the vet when the bleeding first started instead of sitting and asking for an answer. If you love your cat then please that him/her to the vet right away and don't waste any more precious time that your cat has.
I figure you must have loving feelings for your cat or why else would you ask for any ones advice about it. I love cats very much and I have a wonderful fat, black cat and if she were bleeding I would wrap her in a towel and drive to the nearest vets office for her help to see what's causing the bleeding and to pray it can be stopped before I lose my wonderful fat, black cat.
Best of luck to you and your cat, now take your cat to the vets now, okay.

more info would have helped on this, it all depends, scratch, hole, where its from, how deep, if its small and no big deal, cats will usually take care of it them self's by keeping it clean with there licking it, but if its large or deep then seek a vets assistance,or go to an animal shelter and ask them for help. good luck

Cover the bleeding area with a non-sticking bandage such as gauze wrap. Then quickly but CAREFULLY take your kitty to the vet.

well, depends on how bad the bleeding is. if it is very minor get a papertowel and apply pressure till it stops bleeding and make a sloution of 1 part peroxide and 2 parts water I think it is to put on the cut to clean it out.

if it is anything major, you better put pressure on it and get to the vet!

cats can cure themselves but if bleeding doesn't stop, get many malunggay leaves, crush them finely and pour the concoction directly to the source of the bleeding

Where's it bleeding? I often let my cats heal themselves, but I give them good food and bottled water... I often give them herbs too...
