Cher-and many many more..........but I want to understand the reason why some others seem so soft on illegal alien invaders......do they not differenciate between legal and illegal, I think we all agree legal immigrants are fully welcome.

legality is nothing more than a figure of self imposed authority forcing their beliefs on others. the only thing that differentiates them is bureaucracy for the benefit of a welfare state, taxes.

The powers that be want immigrants, legal or otherwise, because they want cheap labor. It's that simple. The only reason they finally took some action is because some illegals have given Americans the finger. The fat cats have to look good and pretend they are patriotic to keep the ignorant pacified, but really they can care less. The bottom line is profit.

Precisely! And what I can't understand are the people who are American ... and who actively support illegal immigration, undermining our laws and showing scant regard for our own citizens ... what do these people really want? What is their agenda? Do they WANT the U.S. taken over? Do they want anarchy? For the life of me I can't understand their mentality ... so now we hear that some laws are silly ... indeed some laws are silly, but is the immigration law silly? Is it silly to want to know who gets over our borders? And why they do? Is it silly to want prospective immigrants going through health and background checks? Is it racist, as so many seem to think, to want to secure our borders? I would say no ... I would think every patriotic American would be ever so slightly interested in upholding American laws, and show some interest in the citizens of this country ... what good an unchecked invasion of undocumented illegal aliens would do to this country is totally beyond me ...
Ooops ... seems I'm repeating myself ...think I said something similar only a few minutes ago ... ah heck, that's my opinion anyway, might as well state it twice ... :)

If California's unsalvageable as part of the United States, then I guess we're down to 49...there comes a point when globalization becomes a threat to the entities that we call 'countries', foreign trade's all good and fine, but I think you'll find that most americans really aren't keen on the idea of being forced to learn other languages.
We're pretty much down with speaking english. We like it.
So does most of the international business world. If you're coming to america, assimilate. Or, if you really don't like it in our country, get OUT. Thanks.

How can a true American make excuses and "feel sorry" for people who have no respect for our laws? How can anyone say that they are American and go against their own? I cannot understand for the life of me...is it that they feel we owe them something? We don't. I agree with you.
I, for one, know who I am. I know where I came from. I know where my loyalty is. I also know that I will NEVER allow a foreign CRIMINAL/TRESPASSER/TRAITOR take that away from me. I don't care how many Mexican thugs impersonate me, they can't keep me down. They aren't good enough for that. I will ALWAYS be American and have undying love for my country and my flag. Oh, I pity the unlucky person that tries to burn MY flag....

sashie, I agree with u, I think there is a machination here to allow all the illegal folks for some unknown reason.how can a super power be so impotent and helpless to protect it's own borders and yet can be super power.it is a puzzle.
