I like staring at something of beauty, smelling a lovely fragrance, or hanging out in nature.

1. Walk around campus at night and see stars in the sky; watch giant pines dancing in the wind
2. Smell the freshly brewed coffee.
3. Dance in the darkness, with music playing loud.
4. Listen to Steven Curtis Chapman
5. Take care of a 18-months old baby
6. Drink cold water
7. Find a good book
8. Talk to a good friend for hours
9. Paint
10. Talk to mom on the phone.
All these things are simple pleasures...and they make me feel happy, relaxed and excited in different ways.

The simplest pleasure for me is a nap on a saturday afternoon...it means so much. That all the housework is done, all the paperwork from my teaching job is done, my daughter has no homework crisis or traumas or drama in her teenage life, my hubby is actually taking care of the lawn or whatever else it is I usually end up doing for him. I can just lay for awhile and drift.......perhaps to dream

Life is not about simple pleasures but for some really fantastic pleasures. Simple people can only afford simple pleasures. If they are happy about it, well & good. I am not. I keep dreaming about fantastic pleasures, and it is really great dreaming and pursuing them to some extent. Life is really meant for great kicks. In that process, even if you get kicked sometimes, it is worth it. I love it.

I have to go with the first guy's answer - I really enjoy helping people, especially the little things like letting someone with just a few items go ahead of me in the line at the grocery store when I have a cartful. It just makes me feel good to do something nice for someone else. And just that little act could turn their horrible day into a good one. It's like a domino effect of niceness.
I also really like making people laugh and smile. I get a lot from brightening someone's day.

Your question makes me think of so many pleasures there are. Sex, enjoying your favorite tastes, your favorite clothes that make you feel a pleasure to own them, shoes, jewelery, a car or anything, a handsome man.

The simplest pleasure to me is sleeping beside my husband at night. I love to listen to him breathe, I love our naked skin touching. I love the sound of his heart beating when I lay my head on his chest. It all makes me feel loved and safe.

there are so many simple peasures. helping someone cross the road, helping your parents in their day to day works, helping a girl from the one who teases her daily and you know about that thinking that that girl is also someones sister, etc etc....these are all sample yet satisfying plaesures of the life. We all claim that we can do difficult things but for these simple things we need more courage and bravery. Try once.......
