Well how much money? If it is not too much, then you can volunteer, giving meal, giving donation to the organization that really do this. But if the amount is pretty big, then you can sponsor poor kids education, I think this is the best. Because poverty can't be get rid of just temporary solution like giving meals - this is just to take care of urgent needs. A longer term solution is to give them a good job which can be reached via education.

This great! I am a girl scout leader and we took our troop on a tour of the local food pantry. Now we have a quartely food drive!
The girls are amazing.
The pantry told us in the summer they need sugar, kool-aid, peanut butter jelly,. because some kids aren't getting lunches when school is out.
They also run short on condiments like ketchup.
You can even donatye wild meat and fresh garden vegetables.
Some people clean out their freezers and donate what they haven't used. As long as it's still good.

Try to organize a community and charity give aways for the poor........
Make sure it dealt honestly......don't let any scoundrels ruin the good deeds.....
Giving foods,clothes and shelters are the best help a person could ever give to the poors.........money is not everything!!!
Show them that you are sincere and really care for them.....
For instance.......celebrate birthdays at an orphanage, old folks home, disabled peoples.......etc.....
You can't imagine how happy they will feel and the satisfaction that you will gain is undiscribable.............

IF YOU WANT TO HELP THE POOR PEOPLE THAT IS GREAT, AND WONDERFUL, YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE POVERTY, LEVEL, AND MORAL AND SOCIAL LEVEL THEY ARE EXPERIENCIING, AND HELP MEANS HELP,, IT TAKES A LOT OF PATIENCE, AND DEVOTION, AND UNDERSTANDING TO GET TO UNDERSTAND THEIR NEEDS,,
YOU CAN'T JUST "FIX IT" it IS NOT AS EASY AS YOU MIGHT THINK,,, TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME, CHECK WITH CHURCHES OR ORGANIZATIONS THAT WORK WITH AND KNOW PEOPLE WHO ARE POOR AND IN NEED AND ASK WHERE YOU MIGHT DO THE MOST GOOD,

find a church that feeds meals to the homeless and give them food or go and unload trucks or collect can goods to give or find a charity in your town thats struggling with finances and raise cash for the needs its all out there

by donating money to your local government approved charities.. if you don't have enough cash, you can provide your time and energy by helping in the orphanage, old folks home, animal shelters etc.
