It is quite possible he may never get this oil, directly. What most people believe is that his strong ties to the oil industry, his many contributions from the oil companies, his long and close friendship with the dictatorship in Saudi Arabia, suggests this could be payback to line the pockets of his oil industry buddies.
Halliburton is a perfect example.
I personally think Bush has little moral fiber, but it's hard to imagine he would have four thousand American soldiers die for oil. Can't these people be happy the billions they already have in the bank?
Either he misjudged the resistance to our presence over there or
he didn't didn't care. I honestly don't know.

Bush is only for the rich people. Oil equals big money!! Gas prices continue to soar and he knows it. He lets the owners get away with it. He thinks he can calm the Americans down by offering such bogus advise such as, Get gas only when you need it. OH , OK, thanks dip sh*t. He may not get any of this oil, but he gets his rich friends to do whatever he wants. Bush is evil and we will be a better place as soon as he is out of office. I feel bad for the next President, because it will take years to clean up Bush's mess.
P.S. Also see Al Gore's movie- Inconvenient Consequences, that will also show how our environment is screwed up as well.

It replaced into began for many reasons alongside with those given via the government. i don't have the time to record each and every reason from each and every edge of the government and private sector that impacts the government via marketing campaign contributions or the lobbyists. The Iraq war has produced a straight away bibliography of rather informative books on the subject. circulate to a borders or barns and nobel and look below politics and government. Plus whilst the say oil it would not propose oil interior the honour of you pumping gas into your automobile; it ability yet another oil rich state which could act as a swing state for united statesa., increasing output whilst others shrink it thereby ensuring there is no longer a damaging result on the U.S. financial equipment. lots as Saudi Arabia has completed. whilst Iraq decreased its oil output to make additional funds via fact of its broken financial equipment after the Iran-Iraq war, Saudi Arabia larger its output leveling out the fees.

The left can't grasp that al queda is not finished. They can not understand that al queda moved into Iraq ahead of the United States so they could fight us there and recruit there. al zakarwi was al queda, injured in afghanistan when we invaded there, and moved to Iraq - think he did it alone. The left can't get ahold of that and discounts the threat al queda is to their way of life; and so they make up the war is for oil.
We purchase Iraqs oil just like Europe and China does. We pay the going rate - not a dime less. Notice how they claim we're theives but can't even bring any charges.

Well, according to the
Table 3.14 OECD Gross Petroleum (Oil) Imports from Iraq (Most Recent 12 Months)
(Million Barrels per Day)
From April 2005 to March 2006, the latest figures
Iraq exported 11.288 million barrels
the US got 6.173 million barrels. or over 1/2
Europe got 3.382 million barrels
So mr conservative, where is the oil going???

what really gets me is that theres enough oil locked up in alaska to supply the usa's needs for over 200 years but clinton closed the pipeline down to save the habitat. c'mon the pipes are already there!!!! how can it hurt the habitat. empty pipes or full pipes the pipes are still there ya know. i also saw a report that iraq only has like 3-7 percent of the worlds oil reserves so i dont understand why its so important to control it anyway.

I think he figured if we could take over control of Iraq, we could control the oil, but he had no business doing that and no one over there was about to let him get away with doing that. So I guess his grand scheme blew up in his face. Actually it wasn't just him, it was Cheney, Rumsfield, Rove, etc.

perhaps you have'nt known that Bush is a stockholder of major oil companies(UNOCAL and HALLIBURTON), its simple when the oil market gets prices up then Bush gets richer than anyone... he also has connections or a stockholder of UNITED DEFENSE, a compny that sells war tanks.. its money again.. Americans are being fooled by this person... you should have seen the documentary/investigative report shown on HBO..
