You just pray for them and love them. You just have to have faith and continue to show them how good living in Jesus is.

The believer is not the one who is helpless, rather the nonbeliever.
As a Christian, you know firsthand that you, too, once had been a non-believer. How did you become convinced?
It most likely was not through the words of someone else, the seeing of a miracle, or an amazing sign. It was the Holy Spirit who convinced you to willfully follow Christ.
It is no different for anyone else. Continue praying and live a joyful life full of praise.
What I find truly amazing is not who won't be in heaven, but that by God's grace, I get to go to heaven.

I heard a song recently that explained how a person has to hear about 17 times how God can make a difference in their life before are convinced.. It can take a long time. But be patient. Pushing at that person probably hasn't worked. But over the years, as you show him how God has made a difference in your life (by the evidence of your character) he will see that following Christ is the best option. So, pray for your loved one and by your actions he will be convinced. Your integrity and sincerity will win him over a lot more than any words you can say.

You could just leave them alone. there's nothing a non-believer hates more than someone trying to force their beliefs on to them. And how do you know you're not following the wrong god or religion--you could end up misleading someone into making your mistakes. This is a free country--or so i thought. Adults should be allowed to make their own choices. If christianity or whatever it is you practice is what your loved one is supposed to find he/she should be allowed to find it on his own--not have some relative force them into something they don't need or want, that's a good way to make them run away. then what do you do? sit around and pray that they come back home? When are you people going to realise that your religion is supposed to be about love and acceptance, not some fascist hell on earth where the nonbelievers get forced into your will--leave that to the nazis. what would jesus do? try to be more like that for chrissake.

You can talk until you are blue in the face but they are blinded as we all were before we came to Christ. It is only by the Holy Spirit that they will be convicted of the truth. You need to pray that the Spirit of God opens the persons eyes and reveal the truth to them.
I expect all of us have unsaved relatives and friends, but in the end they do have a choice and if they refuse the great sacrifice that Jesus made on Calvary they will have to reap the consequences.
I too feel sad about my unsaved family and friends, but as long as I have done my bit and told them the truth, and live a life that is separate from the world, then that is as much as you can do.
However I do know someone who prayed for her husband for 14 years, he would not even drive into the church car park to pick her up from church. Then he started driving in the car park, one day he waited in the church lobbey, another time he went to church, now he is in full time ministry! So NEVER give up hope!

I feel sad when I know that they do not know Jesus ... So when I am around them I let my light shine!! I have been praying for my sister for 10 years and for the past couple of months she has been getting interested in the bible in fact she went and bought one cuz she thought it was cute and she wanted a bible to start reading and then she was sitting at a car dealership waiting and "The purpose driven life" was sitting on the counter and she picked it up and started reading it and called and asked me if I had a copy of it cause she wanted to read it! So prayer works and God is good all the time!!

It would be hard on your part. but remember, there is a saying in the Bible that Jesus accepts even the lost sheep into his midst. Remember also the parable of the prodigal son. Even though he/she doesn't believe in Jesus right now, there is still hope. Does he/she do good or follow the golden rule? Love for Jesus is a slow growing relationship and it requires readiness on the part of one to accept it. So you should not feel so helpless, keep on teaching him/her, keep on having the faith and pray that someday... oneday he/she will believe.

What right do you have to take away or expect to take away someones free will.
If they choose not to be religious or follow your beliefs thats their business, not yours!!!
Bible bashers are like sheep all following each other off a cliff. They get fed sh*t and kept in the dark like a mushroom and just swallow it as the truth. They dont think for themselves, they are brainwashed.
How do you know 100% that there is a Heaven or hell? You dont!! Have you been there personally and seen it?? You just believe what sh*t you've been fed.
Maybe if you and the rest of the bible bashers spent more time worrying about the problems in your own knickers instead of everyone elses, the world wouldnt have half the problems it does today.
Get a life!! Seriously!!!
Cheers :D

That's what you feel...helplessness. But let me assure you of one thing. It may be an impossilility to you, but all things are possible with Jesus Christ. Never doubt it! With the strength of your Faith in Jesus Christ, and through your prayers for this family member, then the answer will come to this person when Jesus Christ picks the time and place. Not when someone else thinks it's time. God Bless You!

Everyone has their time and trials. That's like waiting for him to visit wearing blue socks. It's so arbitrary of you to require this. Now, if you really believe, then you need not bring this up again with him. If you have faith then pray for him. A man has reasons for his choices and you are better off respecting his intelligent decisions. He is pragmatic (practical) and less willing to operate on faith. Let him go with that. Life is a lesson in spirituality. Either a person is spiritual and learning to live in the real world or a person is connected with the real world learning to understand spirituality. Few are able to operate with feet in two canoes.

I feel saddened in my heart. Yes it means they are not getting into Heaven unless they do accept Jesus before He returns. You can only plant the seed, and let God take care of the rest. Just keep praying, and if it's in God's will, then they will do it, and will go to Heaven.
