I use alcohol as my method of escape into a different reality.. one far away from the real life that I have that occasionally is far too difficult and complicated to understand..
A couple drinks makes me social.. a few more makes me float away.. I seek to float away at times..
some people meditate .. some do yoga .. some go for long walks in the woods .. but alcohol is the most effective way for me.. :)

It is possible to get drunk, and still be aware of your surroundings. Anyways, most people that I know get drunk because it "loosens them up", and allows them to relax. Others drink to forget their problems (although that isn't necessarily a good thing to do). and yet others merely enjoy the taste of alcoholic beverages. The list goes on....

Depends on the occosion. Sometimes there is nothing better to do. Sometimes for a release from a bad week / day. Sometimes to forget problems, and sometimes to get away from them just for a little while. None of them are good reasons though, because you usually feel like crap for it the next morning, and a little guilty.

It helps you loosen up and then it's basically going all out and more of a social thing by also laughing at your drunk friends and you do things you wouldn't do if you were sober

I don't drink. The reason I don't drink is because it tastes gross to me, and I don't want to act stupid by being drunk, or be irresponsible. Plus I've heard that hang overs are not fun.

I don't gettin drunk is not fun. I know my limit and not to go over it. I don't want someone taking advantage of me because i'm drunk.

Alcohol gets rid of your inhibitions. Lets you have more fun.
