Orthodox Christians appreciate the efforts of the interfaith movements. We often do charitable work with Catholics and other Christian organizations.

But pluralism is very different. World religions directly contradict each other. The only way to interact in a religious way is to ignore our differences, and in so doing, become unfaithful to our own faith.

I know wonderful people like you wish to see the human race avoid suffering. This is very noble. But in the end the Lord did not promise us an existence free from pain or harm, but rather a blessed opportunity to share in the suffering of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
If this makes absolutely no sense to you, marry a man and devote yourself completely to him. As you are hurt by him, forgive him. Sacrifice for him and return evil with good. And as the years slip by you will just begin to understand that this amazing love you two share simply could not have come into existence any other way than the way of suffering. Then you will have enormous insight into what Jesus Christ did, and still does, for you and me!!

God bless!!

Hopefully it will continue to foster greater understanding, respect and dialogue amongst all people of faith. It would be great if religions engendered peace rather than hatred and division.

It will probably help some to get rid of religion, while others will beef up their evangelism to infect new victims. Only time will tell which will be more pervasive.
