I don't think we should lose points for nasty answers because who determines what is a nasty answer....I mean, a lot of people get upset just because they will ask a question and not everyone tells them what they want to hear...Some of us actually tell people what we believe is the truth about the situation and some don't want to hear it and so they call it a nasty answer...
Now your example, yes that was nasty, but if someone said they wanted to kill themself, you aren't going to always get a sympathetic answer either.
So who determines what is a nasty answer and what isn't.

Questions and answers that are "nasty" should lose points....and there should be more regulations on what can be asked and what cant be asked. People are being reported because they didn't make a statement in a question form........yet, others can write about hurting young children or having affairs with grandmas.
Changes need to be made.

No because this is all (well not all) but mostly fun and games . Who the hell actually listens to these answers????? There are some good opinions that come through here but I wouldn't take any of it to the bank . I guess some people come here for actual advice and answers but I just don't believe in censorship.

I hope this is not nasty, but do you think we should burn a few pages of books you don't like after you read them. Where do you start and stop on censorship. To fit your guide lines on morality and conduct. No one is good enough to decide everything for everyone. Just lighten up and realize it takes all kinds.

none, that's a person opinion but if the person kills themselves for some mean answer that person then that's something to worry about. i say since we get 2 points for answering ?s then if they are mean answers then we don't get 2 points for our answer. and if there over the top mean answers then -5 to return to the person who wrote the question and got hurt. i think that sounds fair.

some people deserve nasty answers, but others don't, but then again someone posting a question like that is probably not so serious, then again maybe they are.

you have to admit that some questions deserve nasty answers and others don't, so who gets to monitor the answers?

i hate to say it, but they did ask for help from any one. it just sucks that a dummy like that would answer without thinking of the seriousness of the question
