The answers to your questions are dependent upon the specifics of your case. Generally, they are looking for evidence of abuse. How long it takes depends upon the cooperation of those involved and whether or not they find any evidence of abuse.

You have had alto of good information and I think it is all good to know.

Documentation I feel is the key to wheat her or not someone will or could be charged w/ abuse, neglect or molestation. If you are the perk than you must be able to defend where you were and what you were doing w/ reliable witnesses. Keep a journal and try to be as honest an forthright from the very start. Too much info in not good- it allows to much questions to be asked that can hurt you or make you look crazy. On the other hand if you are the accuser again a journal is essential. Documentation - a good lawyer- and a good relationship w/ the investigating party(ies) is also important. Good luck and I hope everything turns out okay.

They investigate if the child may have been abused physically, emotionally, and or - sexually. Usually this entails seeing a physician who may specialize in child abuse, looking for old signs of abuse as well as recent, physical and possibly sexual signs as well. Depending on the specific state ,and regulations the agency holds for procedure, the child would also see a certified psychologist who specialises specifically in this area, and the child would have private sessions with the therapist. The reports and findings, if any - from both physicians and therapists are then reported back to whomever is in charge of the case ; and a ruling is then made. This procedure can take weeks to months depending on the child, family, and the agency involved. Whomever the accused is, if it's a family member, they may be denied access to the child completely during this time, or allowed supervised visitiation until the court files their ruling.

I would like to answer, but if you are being investigated I won't give you any ideas so you could cover it up. I assume that you are asking in order to help a kid, but I am very protective of child abuse cases and so just on the chance that you cold be a perpetrator I will not say and will suggest if anyone else knows they also do not mention anything that could be covered up either. But if you are looking to help the best thing to do is simply contact your local Division of Child and Family Services and ask them what you can do to help make a strong case. They need help because they are usually way swamped with work. Think solid evidence, that is the best help.

DNA can be found in many ways. It is very, very accurate! DNA samples are sent to a lab and the lab will send the results back to law enforcement agencies. If a child is molested, a doctor can tell. The DNA simply proves the allegation. There is not a time limit for Family services to investigate. They will spend the amount of time needed to make a safe determination.

this is a touchy subject in my book. Document everything. Find out what exactly the issue is and what needs to be done to fix it. Can't really say more than that. That is a situation that is sometimes abused but there's a lot of kids too going through things they should never have to deal with.

they look for any evidance of abuse, they talk to the child, and anyone else involved. Sometimes if they dont find anything but still dont feel completly right they will do random check ups even after you think its over

THATS EASY THEY ARE LOOKING FOR SIGNS THAT THE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST THE ACCUSED ARE TRUE. IF THE CHILD IS OLD ENOUGH TO TALK 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 ITS A DONE DEAL ESPECIALLY IF EXAMINATIONS PROVE TO BE TRUE. A CASE OF THIS MAGNITUDE COULD TAKE YEARS OR EVEN MONTHS DEPENDS ON HOW CONCRETE THE PROOF STANDS ALONE.

it depends on what the case is about, they look for any thing that could be seen as abuse and it could take months to be over, it depends on how many people they have to look into
