i am working with windows XP home edition. my taskbar and start menu is missing with my particular user id. i tried to restore it with different user id. it is working fine but with my personal id it is missing. kindly suggest me how can i get it back. it is also happening that nothing is being showed when i use the right click button of my mouse. kindly give me some answer as i have a lot of documents with my id.i have tried everything from using the windows key to pressing ctrl+esc, but nothing is working.

Use the Windows "Flag" key to pull up the start menu

Select setting

Select Taskbar...

Change the options....

I do not know why your right-click is not working, but I would see how that could be a problem.

As far as the taskbar, the only thing that I can add is that it may have been accidentally reduced in size so that it is invisible (I have seen this several times). If you place your mouse at the bottom of the screen, and it turns into a black arroung pointing up and down, then just click and hold, and drag up. You will see the taskbar increasing in size, so just let go when it is the size you want.
